My story
I've been on the other side of this.
I trained as a doctor and then burned out being one. Long shifts, chronic sleep deprivation, family life, and eating late into the night because it was the only way I knew to cope. I understood the science completely. I still couldn't act on it.
That taught me something no textbook did. Good health isn't about perfection. It's about understanding your body and making realistic changes that fit the life you actually have.
These days I'm a wife, a mum and a stepmum of three. I enjoy a glass of red wine and a good burger. Healthy living should be practical, balanced and something you can live with.
